Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) has introduced optional remote learning through February 12, 2026, following a fatal federal immigration enforcement .

A statement from the district said classes will resume Monday, Jan. 12, in person, while those whose families opt into e-learning can do so until at least Feb. 12.

The remote program may have helped students who could not take part in person and offers lessons for how internships could work going forward.
