But in practice, the card was a little dull, the pacing was poor, there were ads all over the place, and a bunch of weird/bad stuff surrounding it. But ultimately, the main event was a banger, and that’s what matters most.

The UFC comes back from its extended six-week break/vacation to start 2026 with a bang. The first card of the year – unlike 2025 – is a numbered event (formerly pay-per-view), UFC 324, which features a stacked card full of some of the most memorable names in the sport.
UFC CEO Dana White said a fight was pulled from the UFC 324 card on Saturday, Jan. 24 because of a wagering flag. White said the UFC heard from "the Gaming Integrity Service," which monitors gambling.

UFC 324 introduced a new system for handing out post-fight bonuses, marking a significant change in how fighters are rewarded inside the Octagon. He later explained that the UFC was not quite ready to roll out increased bonus payments to start the promotion’s new era.
