Come correggere l'errore "Errore dell'applicazione Igfxem.exe: impossibile leggere la memoria"

Can anyone explain how to fix this? I've tried literally everything the internet has suggested. From verifying files, uninstalling/re-installing, changing the settings in steam and the local files for the game, updated graphics driver and lastly completely wiping out my pc. This is frustrating.
