In mathematics, the disk method is a technique used to calculate the volume of a solid generated by rotating a curve around an axis. The idea is to imagine slicing the solid into very thin circular disks perpendicular to the axis of rotation. Each disk has an area that depends on the distance from the axis, and by summing the volumes of all these disks, we approximate the entire solid. This process is formalized using integration, where the radius of each disk comes from the function being rotat
