They can get huge but they don’t store well long term. So I like to chop and freeze them, and save my other onion varieties for dry storage. Pro tip: don’t overfill your bags. I like to fill a scant quart so that the bags will lay flat in the freezer. Once they’re frozen, stand them up and store them vertically. This maximizes space in the freezer!
