How do I win against squash pests? I don’t. When I see signs of vine borer damage or a full-on collapse, I pull the plant and feed it to the chickens. No drama, no Hail Marys. If I’ve got enough time left in the season, I just replant. It still gives me more than enough squash to last me. Sometimes starting over IS the strategy.
