JPEG vs RAW explained. Shooting in RAW doesn’t automatically mean a higher quality photo — you can still get sharp, detailed images using JPEG straight out of camera. For me, deciding between JPEG vs RAW comes down to editing. I choose RAW because it gives me more flexibility in post-processing, better colour control, and more room to adjust highlights and shadows without losing detail. JPEG is great when you want ready-to-share photos, but RAW fits my workflow as a photographer who edits every
