We need to strap down some body parts and equipment during surgery for patient safety. The arms and legs are at risk of falling off the table if not strapped or restrainted down! If they fall, it can cause serious nerve damage, so we take the restraints very seriously during surgery under anesthesia. The breathing tube also needs to be secured to make sure it doesn't fall out! It gets taped to the skin on the face! #Operatingroom #surgery #anesthesia | Anthony Kaveh MD
