Here's rare footage of the elusive Glass Octopus. This footage was captured by Schmidt Ocean Institute team on a 34-day expedition in the U.S. Pacific Remote Islands Marine National Monument. Researchers from Schmidt Ocean Institute were recently lucky enough to spot a rare species of octopus which is famously transparent. The appropriately named glass octopus (Vitreledonella) can be seen floating through the water with its optic nerve, eyeballs, and digestive tract on show.
