Use our handy tips and tricks for reefing your dinghy's main sail whilst out on the water with RS Sailing! When you reef your sail, you make the sail smaller by not having it hoisted to the top of the mast. Reefing is most commonly used when there are strong winds and you don't want your sail to power up too much.
