I just could not pull off a garden this spring. So when I noticed some feral pumpkins blossoming on my manure pile, I took a closer look. I have volunteer tomatoes and pumpkins everywhere! Seeds go right thru pigs, so when I feed pumpkins and tomatoes, it’s sort of a self-propagating manure pile. Typically there is too much nitrogen for good fruits to develop, but I spent 15 minutes plucking the weeds and we’ll see what kind of tomatoes I might get. Even found a strawberry plant I have to transp
